(1). Pros: Price
Cons: The drive will not format. I have ordered three and RMA'ed all three because of the same exact issue, getting stuck in the 60-70% range during a full format. I tried all means of support I could think of to make sure I wasn't doing something wrong, even talked with Samsung support for about an hour. Nothing helped. Hard to believe that it's just bad luck after three of them.
Other Thoughts: I've been a Western Digital user for many years, but decided to try this because of price and good reviews here. I ordered a WD Elements 2TB External Hard Drive at the same time to be used, ironically, as a backup drive for this one. It formatted in less than an hour, but has been sitting empty for weeks waiting for some data to back up.
